Berne Man Killed
By Car Last Week
Louis (sic) D. Acker, 47, Berne, was killed 10 o'clock last Wednesday night when struck by an automobile while crossing the street in front of his home.
Sgt. John McNamee and Trooper A. L. Wildzumas said the care was driven by Charles Jones Jr., 17, also of Berne. They quoted the driver as saying Mr. Acker walked directly into the path of his car.
Mr. Acker was employed at the American Locomotive Works in Schenectady. He was returning from a store when killed.
