KNOX - Viola B. Able, 92, a gardener and skilled seamstress, died Dec. 13, 2002.
"She was a devoted mother and grandmother," said Mary Able, Mrs. Able's daughter-in-law.
Mrs. Able supported environmental conservation and was an avid gardener, said Mary Able.
She was a member of the Berne Reformed Church.
Mrs. Able was also an avid seamstress,
" She made many of her own clothes," said Mary Able.
She grew up in Waterford , Ky, and attended Atherton High School. She moved to Chatham 10 years ago, and moved to Berne in 1995. She resided at Mill View in Latham and the Maple Hill Adult Home before her death.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Able of Berne, and a grandson, Joshua Able. Her husband, William Able, died before her.
